Our Founder

Also known as “The Laughter Doctor”, Dr. Sarah Carothers is a dynamic Motivational Speaker, Holistic Coach, Comedian, and Philanthropist dedicated to empowering others through the powerful blend of humor, wellness, and personal transformation.

​

After retiring from General Motors—where she still serves as a representative for the chaplaincy retiree community—Sarah chose a new path rooted in joy, service, and laughter.

Education & Expertise

Sarah holds a:

​

  • Doctorate in Ministry and Master’s in Theology from The Texas University of Theology

  • Bachelor's of Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington 

 

She is also a certified Yoga Instructor,  Pilates Instructor, Fitness Facilitator, and Group Coach who uses movement and mindfulness to promote physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.

Leadership & Community Impact

Sarah currently serves as the Director of Senior Programs for the Great Age Movement, a nonprofit focused on enriching the lives of older adults.

 

Her community work also includes roles with:​

  • Second Baptist Church

  • Inspiring Love Ministries

  • Elder Service Providers’ Network (ESPN)

  • Executive Service Corps of Houston (ESCH)

​

As a 501(c)(3) leader, she is passionate about growing impact through collaboration, education, and laughter.

Sarah has traveled to eight countries and countless U.S. states, with her mission trip to the Philippines standing out as a life-changing experience.
